Leadership
Sandeep Sanan
Sandeep Sanan has three decades of working experience with Starting Up & Operating both Business & Social enterprises. He worked for almost two decades in various Leadership and Senior Management roles in IKEA. During his tenure, he was geographically responsible for businesses in Europe, Africa and Asia. He brings knowledge on how to establish new companies in the IKEA pipeline and scale them up by creating the right conditions. Out of his total IKEA experience, he spent 6 years as part of the core team working on IKEA’s India entry strategy & implementation. He along with the team, focused on understanding the customer needs, market insights and collaborated with Designers, Product Developers and Factories to create optimal value chains.He also led the project for 30% local sourcing legal obligation for a Retail Brand to operate in the Indian environment.
As a Business consultant, he has worked for Tecnova and Protech. His experience has been in Textiles, Agro-based industries, Automobile, FMCG, Metal & a variety of other industries. His assignments included starting up offices, setting up production facilities, legal & social compliances, implementing distribution channels & other related activities. Sandeep has done assignments for Greenlee Textron (USA), Stanley Tools (USA), Tefal (France), KOB (Germany), Perfetti (Italy), Kumho (South Korea), Hyundai (South Korea), Greenlee Textron (USA), Textil Santanderina (Spain) to name few of the companies.
Sandeep believes that Environmental & Social development should be the pre-condition for setting-up all new Businesses.
Eqbal Perwaiz
Eqbal has a varied experience of more than 3 decades across consulting, international sourcing, retailing and marketing.
On textile front, a rare blend of experience in working on raw material ( fibre, fibre fill, yarn-OE to finest 140's compact yarn) to intermediate products ( knitted and woven fabric- bottom weights and work wear to shirtings to home furnishings) to final made ups ( knitted and woven garments including work wear, fatigue clothing, high altitude thermal wear etc, and sheetings, top of the bed, including polyester blankets) to its sourcing and finally their retailing. Eqbal has worked extensively on joint ventures and foreign collaborations in the area of spinning, knitting and coloured woven fabrics involving Korean and European mills.
Eqbal has experience in buying and international sourcing with buyers from the US, Europe, South America, and sourcing geography involved companies mainly from India and Pakistan.
On the retailing front, Eqbal worked in a leadership role with the largest retailer in India (Reliance Retail) and he was responsible for running Home vertical( furnishings, hard goods) and sourcing home textile products for all verticals where home and decor goods were sold (convenience and supermarkets verticals).
Current location is New Delhi and major engagement include sales and marketing of ADVANSA fibres, fibrefills and specialised yarns, responsible for Indian subcontinent and the Middle East both for sales in local market and for export destinations.
Eqbal has provided services to many companies over the past 3 decades.. These include DMC Group (France), Russel Corporation (USA), Sferra Brothers (USA), Tessitura Monti (Italy), PanGrim (Korea), Montefibre (Italy), Eminence (France), Comazo (Germany) etc.
Anchal Kohli
Anchal Kohli has over two decades of work experience both as an entrepreneur, and as a senior management professional in multinational companies.
She has a postgraduate degree from Delhi University, an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, and a specialisation in the Italian language and culture from the University for Foreigners, Perugia, Italy.
She represented Italian companies in India (Rosaspina srl, Conbipel srl), and was instrumental in assisting several others to enter the Indian market. She was the first employee of Perfetti in India and played a critical role in setting up their project in Gurgaon.
Subsequently, as part of the management team in Danisco India, she received training on international sourcing at the Danisco facility in the UK, and was in charge of the purchasing and import-export portfolios. Following her tenure with food processing industries, she transitioned into a pioneering international lifestyle project with Zee Telefilms. As Assistant Vice President, she was key in writing the business plan, developing the product range and vendors, which were to complement the channel.
Working in the Nordic countries and Lithuania, as a business developer of metal products for IKEA, Anchal proved to be an asset to her Trading Area. She coordinated and implemented several new initiatives. She also started her own highly successful yoga company during her stay in Sweden.
